By now you have probably been notified a hundred times that CPS has closed schools tomorrow. If you know of a family that, for whatever reason, would not have heard this message, please take an extra moment to make sure they know. It is painful to think that any one of our students would walk to school to find it closed and then not know what to do. Stay safe and warm, everyone.
EXTENDED DUE TO WEATHER EMERGENCY: Yearbook Cover Contest: The clock is ticking! Our Yearbook Cover Contest is coming to a close. If your student is planning to submit their masterpiece, please ensure it is turned in by January 26th. We can't wait to see the incredible creativity our students bring to this year’s book.
TIME EXTENDED FOR LSC ELECTIONS APPLICATIONS: Your voice matters in our school’s governance! Don't miss your opportunity to run for the Onahan Local School Council (LSC). Serving on the LSC is a powerful way to support our students and help shape the future of our school. Applications are due by January 27th @ 3:00 pm.
SPIRIT DAYS: Sadly, our blue and orange days are done for now, but starting in February, we're going to add a little extra fun to our Thursdays and Fridays! We're launching Theme Thursdays and Spirit Day Fridays!!
Theme Thursdays
Each week will have a different dress-up theme. This is totally optional, just a chance to get creative, show some spirit, and have a little break from the usual routine. Check out the scheduled themes for the rest of the year with plenty of time to plan ahead!
Spirit Day Fridays
Spirit Day Fridays will be an easy way to show school pride every single week. All you have to do is wear your Onahan gear or school colors (blue and yellow!) to participate!
Break out the neon and leg warmers — the Friends of Onahan Annual Fundraiser is going full 80’s! Support our school by purchasing tickets, becoming an event sponsor, making a donation, or contributing an auction item or experience. Every totally awesome contribution helps fund programs and opportunities that benefit Onahan. Don’t miss this rad night for a great cause! Event Website: https://aesbid.com/ELP/ONAHAN26
