Dear District 25 Community,
At Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a change to the 2025-2026 school year calendar.
Assistant Superintendent of Personnel & Planning, Kendra Perri, presented the Calendar Committee’s recommendation to move the scheduled School Improvement (SIP) Day from Monday, April 6, 2026 to Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The updated calendar is linked below:
As a result of this change:

Tuesday, March 17, 2026 will now be a non-attendance day for students (due to the SIP Day).

Monday, April 6, 2026 will now be a regular attendance day for students.

This change was made because District 25 school buildings are anticipated to be used as polling sites for the Tuesday, March 17, 2026 Primary Election. In recent years, staff and families have expressed safety concerns about having students in attendance while members of the public are accessing parts of our school buildings. The Calendar Committee made this recommendation in response to those concerns.
The updated calendar is available on our District website and will be shared again as we get closer to the date.
