Career Day and Special Dress Up Day
We are planning a special dress up day on April 24. This will serve as a follow-up to our April 23 Career Day. For Career Day students will get to hear from a variety of people with different jobs. Then, on April 24 we are asking students to dress up in the gear of the career of their choice. It will be exciting to see what careers our students choose.
Spring and Weather Appropriate Clothing
This week we have had some warm temperatures and I thought it would be helpful to include our dress code policy. Here is the policy: What students are encouraged to wear when:
- Below 60 degrees: Jacket or Long Sleeves
- Below 50 degrees: Coat and Long Pants
- Below 32 degrees: Winter Coat, Gloves, Hats, and Boots (when it is snowing/wet)
- At or Below 10 degrees (wind chill or actual temperature): Indoor Recess.
Pick-Up Line
Please remember to leave Lane 2 open until 3:00 in case of an emergency.
Kindergarten Graduation-Date Change
This year Kindergarten Graduation will be on Wednesday May 21 at 1:30 at the high school gymnasium.
Picnic With Your People
On April 25 from 10:30-11:30 we are inviting families to grab a blanket, pack a picnic lunch and come in and have a picnic with your child. Students who get the school lunch that day will get a PBJ sack lunch. We are hopeful that many of our families can enjoy lunch together. Also, this is a half day so families will be able to take their children with them once they finish eating. Students whose families are unable to attend will get to enjoy lunch in their classroom with their teachers.
Jumping Ninjas
Students in gym class are mastering the jump rope. Each time a student jumps a certain number of jumps they earn a "belt" and get to sign the poster-what fun!!
Teacher Requests For 25-26 School Year
When working on classes for next year we work really hard to balance classes. We also try to place students with the teacher. we believe, will best meet their needs. That being said, we understand that occasionally, parents have requests for their child's teacher. Should you have a request, please send me an email at dentona@bronsonschools.org. Be sure to let me know why you believe the teacher you are requesting is a good fit for your child.
Teamwork
This week Mrs. Strawser's class learned all about working together when they paired up to make paper airplanes. This was part of a Leader In Me lesson on synergizing.
Counselor's Corner
This month the counseling department will be providing lessons on careers and encouraging students to believe they can do anything they put their minds to. The mentoring program and groups will also continue.
Weekly Leader Program
We continue to recognize students who are being leaders. We are excited about this program and hope to recognize all of our students who demonstrate leadership qualities throughout the year.
