Greetings Jaguar Parents and Students

Welcome to the red carpet of an exciting new school year at Jones Primary! As your principal, I am thrilled to step into the director’s chair and begin this incredible journey of learning and growth with each of you.

Our theme this year, "Lights, Camera, Excellence," reflects our unwavering commitment to every student. We believe every child has blockbuster potential, and we are here to help them script and direct their futures with excellence.

To ensure every student is ready for their starring role, we are focused on:

Setting the Stage for Curiosity: Encouraging students to ask questions, explore new ideas, and embrace academic challenges as exciting plot twists.
Finding Their Spotlight: Dedicating ourselves to helping each student discover their unique talents and develop essential skills, both academically and personally.
Celebrating Every Premiere: Cheering for every milestone, big or small, and giving standing ovations for their daily successes.

Producing a masterpiece is a massive collaborative effort. Achieving this excellence requires the dedication of our incredible crew (our staff), the star power of our students, and the crucial backing of our co-producers—you.

Your partnership is our most important behind-the-scenes asset. By working together, we ensure every child feels supported and empowered to give their best performance. We encourage you to stay engaged, communicate with the teachers, and grab a front-row seat at our school events this year!

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring set where all students feel valued. Thank you for casting us in your children's educational journey. We can't wait to yell "Action!" and watch the award-winning futures they will begin to create.

Greetings Jags,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking forward to seeing our returning students as well as our new students and families.

I am Ms. Burns, the proud principal of A.W. Jones Primary School. The staff and I are looking forward to creating memories and making this the best year ever for each of you! As a member of the Jones Primary family, you now have a SWAG- we call it JAG SWAG. Students Who Achieve Greatness!! With that being said, we will work together to help each of you be GREAT!! I.

Hey Jag family! I am Dr. Jones, one of your assistant principals here at Jones Primary and I can't wait to welcome all our jags back face to face this year because there's one thing I know for sure which is we are better together! I am excited to learn and grow with you all. You all will do some amazing things this year because we are #jaguarready #jaguarmotivated and #jaguarbetter2gether! Parent Volunteers

We love having parent volunteers! A parent meeting will be held in August to provide more information. Please be sure you have done the criminal background check which you will need done prior to volunteering and any field trips. Complete the criminal background check on the Aldine ISD webpage - go to the Community tab and the criminal background check tab is listed under resources.

Aldine has a new back policy that is requiring students to only have clear or mesh backpacks. We have a limited supply of Jag Backpacks available in the front office for $12.00- Cash Only.
