Parkway North Alum David Kirkman Returns to Inspire the Next Generation

Parkway North alumnus David Kirkman—remembered for his creativity, contagious energy, and the student film crews he rallied after school and on weekends—is coming back to campus this February!

From directing passion-filled film projects to being selected by his classmates to deliver their commencement address, David left a lasting impression at PNH that continues to shine through his remarkable career. Today, he is a filmmaker and creative visionary from Ferguson, Missouri, and the founder of Glyph House Studios, where his work explores the intersection of futurism, technology, and mythology.

David’s films have screened internationally, earning him a 2025 Septimius Award nomination in Amsterdam along with artist fellowships at Washington University in St. Louis and the Kranzberg Arts Foundation. Through storytelling that bridges culture, innovation, and timeless themes, he continues to push creative boundaries.

Now, David returns to Parkway North to share his latest work and inspire the next generation of storytellers—showing students that a passion sparked in the classroom can grow into a creative career without limits. On February 10, he will visit PNH during AC Lab to present his comic book and screen a medley of his films, offering students a firsthand look at the power of storytelling across mediums.

Serving up hot cocoa and warming our hearts as we brace for the arctic blast!

Seven young entrepreneurs from Green Trails Elementary organized a hot chocolate stand in their neighborhood and made nearly $150 in sales. They sent a check with their earnings, a group photo, and this handwritten note to the Parkway Food Pantry to help stock the shelves.

Big congratulations to Ava McCulla (PSH ’25) on an impressive start to her college career! Missouri S&T won their women’s basketball home opener, with Ava setting the pace with 12 points and eight rebounds. Read more >>

From Parkway Central to the Music Industry Spotlight! At just 13, St. Louis native Brian Feit picked up his first copy of Billboard magazine — and instantly fell in love with the music industry. Today, the Parkway Central Class of ’96 alum works with chart-topping artists like Ke$ha and Mumford & Sons, creating unforgettable VIP experiences at major music festivals.

“I’ve always been a fan of music and the behind-the-scenes managers who make it happen,” Brian says. “I wanted to be part of that star-making machinery.”

Before breaking into the industry, Brian worked at the old Musicland record store in Chesterfield Mall and later interned in the Y98 marketing department — early steps toward an incredible career
