BWMS Families,

BWMS will continue to see much fun and excitement as we push through these final days of the 1st semester and into 2025. Please be sure to check all of the activities coming our way as listed in the update below.

We know December goes fast, keep pushing toward break with a quick check in with your student about their current progress and assignments. Also, keep an eye out for those special events in the coming days, like our Winter Concert, WIN Day and the Holiday Dance next Friday.

• The SOAR cart will be rolling on Friday 12/6/24.
• The BWMS Winter Concert for Band/Choir/Orchestra is Monday 12/9/24 with the following start times: 6PM: Choir, 7PM: Orchestra, 8PM: Band. Please consider supporting our BWMS Builders Club as they will host concessions at the concert so families can plan/bring cash or vemo.
• The next BWMS PTO Meeting is Tuesday 12/10/24 at 7PM.
• The first WIN Day of BWMS will be on Friday 12/13/24. These are called "What I Need" Days because students have the choice of a number of activities to participate in for the last 60 minutes of school. The purpose of WIN Days is to build and maintain a positive climate and supportive relationships at BWMS. Students could select from over 30 different options and we look forward to these activities this day.
• BWMS will have a Winter Dance on Friday 12/13/24. Sponsored by our Student Council, this event is from 6-8 and available to all 6th-8th students that attend BWMS. Cost is $5 at the door. We will again ask parents to follow the same student pick up guidelines below by parking in the assigned grade-specific lot. Thank you for your assistance with this procedure.
• Attention 6th grade families - The deadline to register and Pay for the Outdoor Education trip is Friday 12/13/24. Please see the details in an email sent to your account.
• STAR reports and Eagle Profile reports will be sent home by Friday 12/13/24.
• The BWMS Winter Musical performance will be in the middle school Auditorium on Monday 12/16/24 starting at 7 PM. Come see their original production in action.
• End of the 2nd Quarter is Friday 12/20/24 with winter break from 12/21/24 through 1/3/25.
• Students return from winter break on Monday 1/6/25.
• Attention 8th grade families - Registration for the D.C. trip will NOT be accepted after December 31, 2023 (no exceptions). Please see the DC Packet here.

Please take a look at the Free Winter Wellness Workshops available to support families in Delaware County from Syntero.

Over winter break, Syntero will be facilitating Winter Wellness groups on December 23rd and 30th. The middle school group would be taking place from 2pm-3pm. While the student will be in a group, parents are invited to attend a parent workshop at the same location and time (this is optional for the parent).
