What's New at DHEMS?
Fall Play
This year's DHEMS Fall Play is "Rotten Apples" by Tracy Wells. It was a dark and stormy night! This is a comedy featuring fairytale heroes and villains who have to work together to figure out the name of a mischievous imp in order to save a child. They have a midnight deadline if only the power wouldn't keep cutting out, and the guests wouldn't keep getting knocked unconscious! This production has three endings and you will see a different ending each performance! 28 students are acting in the show and a further 30 students are part of the crew. Crew members have designed and painted the set, the props, organized the costumes, and run the lights and sound for the show.

Fall Sports
It was a successful season for our Fall Sports teams. The junior high football team finished the season with nine wins, and our boys and girls cross country teams both had successful seasons, finishing third and eighth respectively in the Bloomsburg state meet. Our cheerleaders led with great spirit during the junior high football games.
Holiday Assistance Program
DHEMS will once again be offering the Holiday Assistance program to our families who are in need. Please see the attached flyers for details. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Ulrich at ulrich_s@dragon.k12.pa.us
Junior Health Care Explorers Program
Middle school students interested in learning more about careers in health care are invited to participate in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Junior Health Care Explorers Program — a free, virtual opportunity for students in grades 6–8. Through live presentations, interactive activities, and Q&A sessions, students will explore a wide range of medical professions, including pharmacy, nursing, dentistry, respiratory therapy, radiation oncology, emergency preparedness, and more.
Sessions will be held Saturdays from January 24 through April 25, 2026 (9:30–11:00 a.m.) via Microsoft Teams. Students who attend at least 10 sessions will receive a certificate of completion.
Registration is open through January 22, 2026. Students should register individually using a personal email address (not a school account).
📅 Register here or check out the attached flyer for details.

Student Council Fundraiser
The Donald H. Eichhorn Middle School Student Council hosted its annual Jaxon Snyder Memorial Fall Fundraiser on Wednesday, October 29, at Ard’s Farm (Banty Rooster). The event brought together students, families, and staff for an evening of fun, food, and community spirit, all in support of a great cause. Admission proceeds supported the DHEMS Student Council and Magical Memories in honor of Jaxon Snyder, helping to bring joy to children and families facing medical challenges.
A big thank-you goes out to our Student Council members, advisors, and Ard’s Farm for making this event such a success, and to our entire Green Dragon community for showing up in full spirit to support a meaningful cause!
