Ed Tech Parent Series
SDCOE is excited to announce the upcoming Educational Technology Parent Series, a free virtual learning opportunity open to all parents and educators across our region. This series is designed to support families and school communities in navigating educational technology and resources that empower student success.
As our educators, parents, and community come together to connect, challenge, and champion our students, we are humbled by the outpouring of compliments. What a positive testament to our CUSD family!
- Mrs. Maria O'Donnell is an amazing instructional assistant that goes above and beyond to make kids feel seen, supported and capable, I appreciate her dedication to students success and belief in themselves!
- Nurses Jill Collins and Alyssa Heringer are sharing the role of Health Tech at Silver Strand in a seamless and smooth fashion. They are calm, kind, efficient, thorough, as well as excellent communicators with staff and students and exceptional teammates. What we particularly appreciate is their consistent willingness to show up anywhere on campus to support students for any reason--even in response to radio calls that are not health related. They simply want to help in any way they can, with a spirit that is enriching our site. We feel so fortunate to have this dynamic duo at Strand!
- Lisa Kinzel is committed to evolving and adapting her practice to meet the changing needs of her students. Often this means making adjustments in the moment; often she shows up first thing in the morning with a novel plan (for example, a new approach to empower a student who thrives when assigned roles and responsibilities). Lisa is devising reward charts, building toolboxes, providing fidgets, and collaborating with all members of our team in support of her students. I admire Lisa's determination, indomitability, and resolve!
Click here to recognize an employee or volunteer who goes above and beyond to make a difference. Those who are "caught" will receive a copy of the positive words that were shared about them and a "Caught Being Awesome" decal. Please take a minute or two to brighten someone else's day!
