Thank you for the visit!
Thank you for joining us during the conferences last week. We love seeing you and it is such a great experience for everyone involved to see the students showcase their learning with pride! Please come again and join us for our Spring Concert in just over a week!
Construction Continues
As you can see, the last few weeks have brought significant changes to the landscape surrounding our school. Although the back doors are fully functional again, we will continue to ask students from the back classrooms (Mme Goughnour, Mme Hadwin, Mrs. Varga, Mme Sibbald, Mme Bateman, Mrs. Corrie and Mrs. Pazio) to line up by the gym as the space is very limited at the back of our building. We will also continue to dismiss all these students via the doors next to the music room. Everyone is now used to the routine and it makes things simpler and safer for the time being. The plan is to continue as such until the end of the school year.
As for the new building, expect to see changes in the coming days as the structure of the building should start to be erected in the very near future.

Parent Input in Class Placement
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we are trying to anticipate what our class configurations may look like. For 2026-2027, given our projected enrollment, it is possible that students in a number of grades will have to be divided between two combined classes, or simply two different classes. For example, students in Grade 4 could be placed in a class with all Grade 4’s or in either a grade 3/4 or 4/5 class. There are still a number of possibilities at this time. Over the next several weeks, we will begin the process of creating class lists. While we strive to make thoughtful placements based on our understanding of each student, we also welcome your input. If you would like us to consider any specific learning needs or social dynamics (please note: we do not accept teacher-specific requests), we invite you to complete the Parent Input for Class Placement Form by the end of May. As well, if your family is planning to relocate and your child/children will no longer be at our school, kindly advise the office by email at your earliest convenience.
District Battle of the Books
Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you for supporting the scholastic book fair last week. We made over $1500 and received over 60 new books for the library. We sold 472 books!
Jump Rope for Heart
On April 24, we kicked off Jump Rope for Heart! During the campaign, our students are reminded of the importance of giving back. As well, we encourage them to learn the EASY healthy habits, so they understand the importance of staying active, eating well and taking care of their heart and brain health.
The funds our school raises will help support important heart and brain research funded by Heart & Stroke. Our fundraising goal is $2026 and you can help us reach it while supporting the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Just click on the button below to donate. If we reach our fundraising goal, our students will have the opportunity to throw water balloons at staff members. Our Jump Rope Event date will be on June 12.
