SACHEM PRIDE!
A New Chapter for MHS - A New Schedule
It is with great excitement and anticipation that we prepare our school for a new chapter in the history of Middleborough High School. The launch of the new schedule for the high school will be an exciting adventure for our entire school community. The new schedule, we hope will provide a more flexible and modern approach to teaching and learning to help all of our students engage in their respective courses.
We know that our new schedule will be pretty big change from what our school has done in the past. However, each day we will help our school community learn and understand how our new schedule works. We are confident you will understand the new schedule and before you know it...you will be a pro!
We have decided to begin our school year on DAY 8 of our new schedule. The structure of Day 8 makes sense to begin the year as it resembles our old schedule and will allow for the school to host class meetings and to start the year as we have historically. Additionally, the start on Day 8 will ensure that you will meet all of your classes within the first few days of school and to get settled into a new school year.
For your planning, if you review your schedule, please find DAY 8 identified along the top of your schedule. Following the column for Day 8, simply go down each class, which will give you the order of your classes for the day. Please keep in mind that Day 8 shows a directed study. However, with the need for class meetings and to help get the school settled, we will not host a directed study on the first day.
Wednesday, August 30 - DAY 8 (No Directed Study)
Thursday, August 31 - DAY 9 (We will host and Advisory on this day)
Friday, September 1 - DAY 10 (No Flex Block)
Please see the graphics you will find on all of the TVs throughout the school to help you on the first day. Please note that we have changed the LETTERS to NUMBERS to help you read your schedule with ease. For students, we felt the letters would create some confusion as presented in your schedule that was sent home in your back to school mailing. The numbers will make it easier to follow your daily schedule.
We begin an exciting new journey for our school with the launch and engagement of our new schedule.

WELCOME TO THE CLASS OF 2027 TO YOUR NEW HOME!
Get Those School Laptops Charged!
For our 9th Graders who did not attend StartSTRONG and for our new students, our Technology Department will be working to issue a school laptop to you during the first few days of school. Do not worry...we will have a laptop for you.
We ask for your patience as we settle into the new school year and ensure that all of our student devices are up and running.
Please keep in mind that we are no longer supporting the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program.
ATTENTION MUSIC STUDENTS - BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS!
Attention all MHS Music Students:
If you take the school bus to and from school each day...this is important information for you!
If an instrument cannot be placed on your lap safely...then you will not be able to bring your instrument on the bus. Anything large poses a safety issue, sudden stops could cause instruments to become projectile and cause injury. Anything smaller than a trumpet/saxophone case would be fine to bring on to the bus. However, anything larger than a trumpet/saxophone case would be prohibited. This would include trombones, cellos, guitars and drum kits.
Please reach out to Mr. Pittsley, Fine Arts Department Chair with any planning questions for your music class this year.
