SPOTSYCTC WEEKLY UPDATE
The Week Ending September 29 2023
Principal's Message
Good Friday Evening SPOTSYCTC Community,
We've just wrapped up another busy yet incredible week at SpotsyCTC. It was an eventful time with many of our students actively participating in the State Fair of Virginia competition for their respective programs and CTSOs (Career and Technical Student Organizations). I'm thrilled to report that our students truly excelled and represented SCPS exceptionally well.
Moreover, we had the privilege of hosting guest speakers who shared valuable insights about careers and college with our students. Additionally, some of our students had the fantastic opportunity to explore off-site locations through field trips to local businesses and business expos.
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for our dedicated staff who consistently go above and beyond to ensure that our students are not only learning within the classroom but also gaining valuable experiences outside of it. Their continued commitment to our students and school is truly amazing.
Each week we will take the opportunity to spotlight our students, staff, programs and schools through our newsletters, social media platforms, school announcements and video boards. Stay connected with us through our social media platforms:

At the SpotsyCTC we like to think we stands out as something truly special – we proudly cater to students from all five exceptional high schools and present an array of 19 distinct programs, 9 defined pathways and 24 industry-recognized credentials. Our overarching mission is to equip every student with the readiness to venture into the workforce, pursue higher education, engage in training programs, or even serve in the military. Through immersive, hands-on classroom experiences, we provide students with real-world skills and enable them to dive into Workplace Learning, Job Shadowing, Internship/Externship programs, Student Organizations, and a host of other enriching avenues.
Good luck to all of our students who are participating in activities this weekend and next week. I know we have so many students who are involved in the fine arts, sports, clubs, outside events and other extracurricular activities. This journey requires substantial extra time, countless hours of preparation and a skillful juggling of academics, personal life and sometimes work commitments. Good Luck and continued success and remember The Power of Little Things, Transforming into Big Achievements"!
Please be careful this weekend, especially with the anticipation of heavy rain in the area. I hope you find some time to unwind, recharge, and enjoy precious moments with loved ones. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday.
