NICKERSON'S NOTES π
π CELEBRATING SUCCESS: MOMENTUM AND ACHIEVEMENTS!
We are thrilled to share incredible momentum and celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students and school community! Our collective dedication to excellence is truly shining through, marking this as a particularly successful time for Avalos P-TECH.
β½ GAME-WINNING GROWTH & GENEROUS SUPPORT
The hard work and dedication of our athletes have led to a huge leap forward! Our soccer club has officially transitioned into a full team and recently secured a generous $10,000 award from the East Aldine Management District. This phenomenal support will fuel their growth and efforts, standing as a testament to their passion and commitment.
π ACADEMIC TRIUMPHS: STANFORD AND QUESTBRIDGE
The excellence continues in the classroom with a major academic triumph! We are immensely proud of our valedictorian, Jazzy Espinoza Melo, who has been accepted to Stanford Universityβs School of Engineering, earning the prestigious QuestBridge Scholarship! Jazzy's achievement is an inspiration to us all.
π PREPARING FOR COLLEGE: TSI ASSESSMENT
In preparation for college readiness and to build upon our student success, we are gaining significant momentum with the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment. We are prepared to administer this crucial assessment again on Friday, December 12th.
π‘FINISHING STRONG: THE HOME STRETCH
As the closeout of the first semester approaches, we are pressing upon all students to finish strong. This is especially important for our freshmen, as these grades will mark the beginning of their official high school transcript.
Remember, as we say to our students each morning: "I can do hard things." Let's carry this spirit forward and make the end of this semester our best yet!
