Sunnyvale ISD students held a moment of silence to remember the tragic events of 9/11 last week. Watch as Mr. Pipak and Zachary Parker deliver a moving performance of TAPS.

Congratulations to senior Daniel Luke who has been named a semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program! More than 1.2 million juniors nationwide were considered for the 2027 program based on their performance on the 2025 PSAT/NMSQT. Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, with just over 16,000 students nationwide earning this distinction.

As a semifinalist, Daniel now has the opportunity to advance to finalist standing and continue in the competition for approximately 6,700 National Merit Scholarships to be awarded next spring.

Our elementary and intermediate campuses were full of extra love recently as students welcomed their grandparents as special lunch guests for Grandparents Day! Turnout was incredible, a reflection of the tremendous family involvement that makes Sunnyvale ISD such a special place. Grandparents play such a meaningful role in our students' lives, and we loved celebrating that bond together. Thank you to all the grandparents who joined us — Raider families are the best families!

The Town is pleased to announce the public review of the Full Draft Imagine Sunnyvale Comprehensive Plan! We encourage all residents, business owners, and local stakeholders to attend a come-and-go Community Open House on Tuesday, September 22, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Town Hall Council Chambers. This milestone represents the culmination of more than a year of collaborative planning, visioning, and community input. The Full Draft Comprehensive Plan has also been updated to reflect the community feedback received to this date, including comments received from the June 16 Community Open House, the Steering Committee, and the online feedback form. Once adopted, the Comprehensive Plan will provide a foundation for decision-making and help guide where the Town wants to be in the future. It provides goals for Sunnyvale and recommendations to help the community get there. Visit the project website to learn more!
