Randall Weekly Update - Week 12

Happy Friday Randall families!

This week, we had the honor to host our annual Veterans Day event. The assembly combined a mix of choir songs, band performances and student speeches, all of which recognized our designated Veteran guests. Most impressively, each Veteran received an envelope during Mail Call and got to enjoy a delicious meal provided by our in-house Chef. Thank you to all of the community members, students and staff who came together to make this a memorable event for our Veterans.

Our Girls Basketball Team is on fire! In the Battle of the Unbeatens, the Girls A-team hit 80% their free throws to defeat Yorkville 26 - 22 securing first place in the conference and a home playoff game. Well done, Wildcats!

(Repeat announcement from last week) Current Volunteers:

If you had paid for a Volunteer Background Check in the last 2 years via the previous SafeVisitor/Safe Hiring Solutions application process, please email Mrs. Kerkman or Mrs. Tobin to assist you in confirming your current expiration date.

NATIONAL BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH:

To finish out National Bullying Prevention Month, students will have the opportunity to sign our school-wide banner pledging that they will stand up against bullies. We will do this next week during lunch and have it hanging in the elementary entryway during parent/teacher conferences. :)

WILDCAT WISHES:

Be on the lookout in the coming weeks for information on our annual holiday program, Wildcat Wishes.

Speak Up Speak Out Program for Randall Speak Up Speak Out Program for Randall

Randall School is pleased to announce the launch of the SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT confidential tipline as part of our school safety efforts. Tiplines are used to identify threats to schools, and for concerns impacting school age youth such as bullying, drug use, suicidal thoughts and more. Schools that promote and use tiplines have less violence overall. The SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT (SUSO) tipline is run by the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Office of School Safety. Parents and students, this tool is available for anyone to use to help keep the Randall Community safe!

Randall students will engage in learning about how to advocate for their own (and others') safety and well-being over the next month in partnership with our counselor, Mrs. Roth, as well as other members of our student services team. We encourage you to speak with your child about the importance of communicating when/if they feel that their safety may be compromised.

Here is a LINK to an informational flyer about Speak Up Speak Out.

Thank you in advance for all of your support!
