FROM THE PRINCIPAL FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! The student led conferences were remarkable. We hope everyone had the opportunity to learn more about your child and what they are accomplishing and working toward in school! Let's have a great week!

Thank you to our PTO and the wonderful Italian Extravaganza that was provided for staff on Thursday! It was appreciated and enjoyed by us all!

Thank you to all of our Book Fair volunteers and to Mrs. Ryan and Mrs. Watson for all of your time and effort over the years. We are so lucky to have an amazing PTO year, after year.

We are really off to a remarkable year and your children are really doing a magnificent job! Thank you for your continued partnership with home and school!

Wasco Baseball is excited to share that starting in Spring 2026, we will officially offer Recreational Softball leagues alongside our long-standing baseball program. Our focus is on providing a fun, local experience for girls beginning at age 4 (Tee Ball) and growing through grade-based leagues into middle school, depending on enrollment.

If a recreational softball league interests your family, please complete the survey below. This survey is simply to help us gauge interest and plan age groups. Your response will help our Board of Directors, along with newly added softball-specific board members, design the best possible program for the community.

We can’t wait to build this new chapter of Wasco Athletics with you. Thank you for your continued support as our Board of Directors works to grow and strengthen both Wasco Baseball and Wasco Softball.

D303 Attendance Procedures Update

District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.

Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.

NEW VACATION POLICY:

  • The pre-arranged absence form and procedure are no longer in use

  • Vacations during school days are discouraged and will be considered unexcused absences

  • This change aligns with our commitment to maximizing instructional time for all students

We recognize that families sometimes need flexibility for travel or special circumstances. While we strongly encourage scheduling family trips during school breaks and holidays, we understand that this isn't always possible. We ask for your partnership in minimizing absences during the school year whenever feasible.

Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.
