Community Survey - Deadline is Monday
Be on the lookout! A community-wide survey has been mailed to all households within our school district boundaries. Each survey includes a unique code and a link to complete it online at your convenience.
Why Your Feedback Matters
Even if you don’t currently have children in District 41 schools (about 80% of our households don’t), your voice is essential. This survey is focused on the key pillars of our Strategic Plan and will help guide the future of education in our community.
One Survey for All
Everyone will take the same survey. If you’re a parent or staff member, the survey will branch to include questions about your specific school experience. Community members will receive all the information they need mailed to their home addresses. Staff members have received an email directly to their district email accounts.
Key Details:
Available online in English, Spanish, and Urdu
Created in partnership with School Perceptions, an independent education research firm
Confidential – your responses will not be linked to you personally
We appreciate your time and thoughtful input—thank you for helping shape the future of District 41!
Bike Safety Assembly at Hadley
On April 22, the Hadley Junior High Health/PE department held a bicycle safety assembly for each grade level during the school day. Bicycle safety has become a serious topic as more students are riding through streets and around Hadley on bicycles, E-Bikes, and E-scooters. We frequently hear of near misses between students on bikes and cars. Young teenagers lack knowledge of the Rules of the Road and often exhibit impulsive decision making.
The safety awareness assembly featured a speaker from the ThinkFirst program from Northwestern University and an officer from the Glen Ellyn Police Department.

BPAC CPR
This week the Bilingual Parent Advisiory Committee (BPAC) had a CPR training with the DuPage Health Coalition. Parents had the opportunity to learn how to perform bystander CPR. Thank you to the Coalition for their support and training services!
Hadley Orchestra Attends Wheaton College Clinic
The 7th & 8th grade Hadley String Orchestra had the amazing opportunity to attend the Wheaton College Clinic in Armerding Performance Hall at Wheaton College Music Conservatory. Dr. Benjamin Klemme (Wheaton College Music Professor & Symphony Orchestra Conductor), assisted the orchestra with various musical concepts by enhancing and advancing their performance skills. At the end of the clinic, the students also received a tour of the music facilities.
Thank you to Hadley Principal, Mr. Steve Diveley and Dr. Benjamin Klemme for providing this memorable experience for our Hadley Orchestra students. Another special thank you goes to the DuPage Foundation for sponsoring our clinician, Dr. Klemme, and to all the parents that helped chaperone and assisted our orchestra for this special event.
Ms. Georgia Alemis, Hadley Orchestra Director stated, "I was so proud of the tenacity and teamwork that the students put forth during this clinic. They acted with such maturity and professionalism. This field trip provided the opportunity for our students to enhance their knowledge and to explore the possibilities that lie ahead of them if they choose the pathway of music at the collegiate level. Way to go Hadley String Orchestra!"
Hadley Jazz Ensemble Shines at Sunset Swing
The Hadley Jr. High Jazz Ensemble gave an outstanding performance at Adams Park outside the Wheaton Library during the Sunset Swing event on April 24. This evening featured a collaboration with the Monroe Middle School Jazz Band, directed by Jeff Novak (Hadley alum!), and the Glen Ellyn Jazz Ensemble, led by Laurie Bonner-Baker. Each ensemble performed three tunes, ending with a combined rendition of "Louie, Louie!" All in attendance enjoyed a beautiful evening of great weather in front of families and community members.
