Destinations Career Academy of WI
Dear DCA Families,
Can you believe we are almost at the end of the first quarter? The end of the first quarter on November 3rd marks the halfway point of the first semester! Our DCA students have made significant progress in just one quarter. Many students are working towards earning work credit and employability certifications, while others are on track to earn college credit through dual credit courses or our Early College Credit and Start College Now programs.
Additionally, our students have had various opportunities to explore careers related to their interests in Xello. Based on those interests, we are excited to provide numerous opportunities for guest speakers and future-ready information sessions this month.
Much of this future-ready work takes place during homeroom, which occurs every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:35 PM to 1:05 PM. Attendance in homeroom is mandatory, and we want to ensure our students do not miss out on this valuable time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out!

PERSONALIZED LEARNING PLAN (PLP)
The PLP process supports every student to have a voice and choice in their education that supports their identity and ensures an actionable post-graduate plan. We want every student to be opportunity ready and achieve their goals. During homeroom and in classes this month, teachers have been talking with students about exploring their interests. When you like doing something, you do more of it, even in your free time. We encourage you to have a conversation with your student about their current or developing interests. Another great opportunity for students to explore their strengths and talents is to join a club or organization.
