Hello Navigators,

This week we began our process to begin our Leader in Me Clubs. More than ever before our students are taking the lead to run the clubs. We held a gallery on Friday so students could select the clubs they may be interested in joining.

This week Impact Aid Forms were sent home. It is critical that these be returned as soon as possible. Please complete and return to school if you have not done so already. Thank you!

Please note that Parent/Teacher conferences begin on Friday, October 13th and continue until Friday October 20th. All of these days are early release days with dismissal at 12:25. Make sure you have your day and time scheduled.

The deadline to purchase device insurance was extended to October 20th. If you wish to purchase this to insure your student's school issued devices visit this site to sign up.

Please avoid parking in the pick-up/drop-off lanes. Instead, kindly utilize an available parking spot if you wish to exit your vehicle. This promotes safety and helps ensure a smooth traffic flow and accessibility for everyone.

Your child's success begins with regular school attendance. Your support in ensuring regular attendance is a vital part of their journey towards success.

We know there are times when issues come up that need to be resolved. OUSD has created a chain of communication that allows for an efficient resolution process. This is now located on our school’s website under “Our School” called Chain of Communication.

Nichols is a Leader in Me School. For the month of October we will emphasize Habit 1 - Be Proactive. Check out this resource about ways to support the habit at home.

The BASE PROGRAM provides Before & After School care. If you are interested in enrolling your Child, please contact them through their website.

We are so thrilled with out STEAM program. STEAM stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We have Ms. Pauels who teaches the STEM parts of STEAM and Ms. Harmon who teaches Art. Check out the STEAM Newsletter for the latest information.
