Lockdown Drill Update
On Thursday, October 15, Bethel Hill Charter School partnered with the Person County Sheriff's Office for a Code 300 (Lockdown) Drill. The drill was led by SRO Clay (from RCS), with support from a large group of Sheriff's Office personnel, including deputies, SROs, and investigators. We truly appreciate the time and support they provided to help us strengthen our safety procedures!
Before the drill, teachers helped prepare students by reviewing what to expect in a calm, age-appropriate way. Our students and staff did an outstanding job! In fact, the Sheriff's Office commented on how well everyone responded, allowing the drill to be completed quickly and smoothly. They were very complimentary of our students, staff, and overall preparedness.
We may also conduct an unannounced lockdown drill later this school year to help us evaluate how well we respond without advance notice. While we certainly hope we never have to use these procedures in a real emergency, we take school safety seriously and want to be as prepared as possible.
We encourage you to talk with your child about the importance of school safety and following directions during an emergency. As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

PTO Appreciates YOU! β Candyman Fundraiser
A big thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Candyman Fundraiser. Whether you sold items, collected donations, or helped in any way, your support is greatly appreciated! Wondering where those funds go? PTO helps cover field trip costs, provides teachers with classroom supplies, supports student clubs and activities, and much more. Every dollar raised helps PTO give back to our students and school.
Fall Carnival β THANK YOU!
What a great evening at our Fall Carnival! We had an amazing turnout, lots of fun and games, and some very creative Pumpkin Storybook Characters. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, or came out to enjoy the evening. A special thank you to our committee chairs who worked hard behind the scenes to make it all happen. Events like this take a lot of helping hands, and we're always looking for more volunteers. Whether you have a little time or a lot, getting involved helps share the work and allows PTO to do even more for our school.

As the weather cools down, please make sure your child wears a coat or jacket to school (that is labeled with their first and last name). They might be outside for recess and/or PE, and appreciate the added warmth of an extra layer! π
Missing Anything???
Our Lost and Found collection has several items waiting to be reunited with their owners! If your child is missing a jacket, water bottle, lunchbox, or other personal item, please encourage them to check the Lost and Found in the Main Building to see if it is there.
