🌰 PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear MGES Families,
Attention 2nd grade families: Second-grade students will complete the gifted screener NNAT3 (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test®), a brief, nonverbal measure of general intellectual ability that yields a norm-based score. The NNAT3 uses geometric shapes and pictorial directions with minimal verbal instruction, making it accessible to a wide range of learners. The assessment does not require students to read, write, or speak. Testing is completed online and takes approximately 30 minutes. The screener will be administered by the second-grade classroom teachers. Building Testing Dates: _Maple Glen 2nd graders on Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th
Attention 3rd, 4th and 5th grade families: Your child's teacher will be requesting that your child bring in their chromebook charger next week by Wednesday April 15th. Please label it so it can be returned. All Chromebooks will be kept at MG until PSSA testing is completed. Testing will begin on April 20-22- with the PSSA ELA Grades 3-5.
Best regards,
Mr. Perez

Both mom and baby are doing well, and we couldn’t be happier for them as they begin this exciting new chapter as a family of three. Allie is already bringing so much love and happiness, and we know she will be surrounded by warmth, laughter, and countless cherished moments.

📣 DISTRICT REMINDERS
Health Services Reminder: Spring Allergies
Spring is in the air, and so is allergy season! If your child experiences symptoms such as sneezing, itchy eyes, or congestion, please consult your healthcare provider. For students requiring medication, please administer doses before school as directed and ensure all required documentation is submitted to the school nurse in advance. Please do not send any medication with your student without first speaking with the nurse. Simple steps like keeping windows closed, washing after outdoor play, and changing clothes can help reduce exposure, and our school health offices are available for any questions.
Cultural Celebration: Share Your Heritage
We are excited to host our district’s Celebration of Cultures on Monday, May 11, an evening to share traditions, connect, and celebrate our diverse community. We invite students, families, and staff to participate as table hosts and showcase their heritage. Hosts can facilitate a table in many ways, including sharing traditional foods, displaying artifacts, or leading hands-on activities like crafts or dance. For more details, view the flyer linked below and register by April 17.
Allied & Performing Arts Show
Join us on Thursday, April 30 for the annual Allied & Performing Arts Show. Take a walk through the lobby and hallways of the Upper Dublin High School Performing Arts Center, transformed into a gallery featuring artwork by students in grades 4–12 from across the district. Join Superintendent Dr. Laurie Smith and Director of Technology Colleen Yenser for an informative, interactive session on the role of artificial intelligence in education.
