From the Desk of Dr. D.

Dear Riverview Families,

Riverview really knows how to do Halloween right! From our Trunk or Treat celebration to our annual costume parade to our classroom parties, our entire community comes together to make this time of year truly magical for our kids. Seeing our students, staff, and families celebrate together reminds us of what makes Riverview such a special place to learn and grow.

A huge shout-out goes to our incredible teachers and family volunteers—you made this day special for all of our students. Thank you!

We wish everyone in our community a very happy, fun, and safe Halloween!

Sincerely,

John Dumbleton

Principal–Riverview PK-8

Upcoming Changes to YouTube Access for K–8 Students

Beginning November 13, Thompson School District will adjust how students in grades K–8 access YouTube through their district accounts. Students will no longer be able to visit YouTube directly to search for or browse videos. However, they will still be able to watch educational videos that their teacher has selected and shared through Google Classroom or in Google Slides. Teachers will continue to have access to YouTube to find and select videos that support classroom instruction.

By providing videos directly within classroom learning activities, teachers can guide students toward content that aligns with their learning goals.
