9th Annual Christmas card design contest winners

The results are in! The art contest winners for the 9th annual GISD Christmas card design contest were announced today. Under the guidance of the art teachers, our talented students entered art into the contest. The art was reviewed at the campus level, and the top designs from each campus were then judged by a district level committee. One student at each campus was determined the winner for that campus and all winning card designs were used to create the 2024 GISD Christmas card.

GHS 9th grade student Amiah Padron won first place overall and her art was used to create the cover of the card. GJH 8th grader Isabel Bentley placed second and her art is on the inside cover. Additional campus winning art designs displayed on the back of the card were created by Lyndsie Tan-to (12th), Melanie Calderon (6th), Marcella Garner (4th) and Jaxi Gane (1st).
