Welcome to PPCS 2025-2026!
Adventure Friday Fundraiser - September 10-26
One of Palouse Prairie’s goals is to encourage the development of regular exercise habits with a focus on outdoor activities and community engagement. Our Adventure Program provides students with opportunities to explore physical activity, engagement with the outdoor world and familiarization with our Moscow community. Your support encourages children to engage in sustained, vigorous activity and build a life-long love for exercise. This year we are asking students to participate in a physical activity of their choice, outside of school. Walking, biking, running, and services like mowing lawns, weeding flower beds all count! More information and a fundraising envelope will be included in this week's Wednesday Weekly folders for K-5 students and will be handed out to Middle School students. The classroom that raises the most money gets to choose their celebration. Which class is going to win???

Important Meal Information Reminders
Don't forget to submit applications for the Free and Reduced Meal program as soon as possible for new enrollment or to avoid a lapse in last year's benefits. Applications must be filled out yearly. More information about the program can be found in the Back to School section below.
Did you know that PPCS offers daily grab and go breakfast to all students? Students can see Ty in the MPR from 8:10 - 8:25 to grab a quick breakfast on their way to class. Breakfast prices are $3 or $0.30 for students who qualify for reduced cost meals.
MATHCOUNTS
We’re getting an early start on National Math Club/MATHCOUNTS at our school. Open to students in grades 6 through 6 , students will be able to learn and practice math concepts in a fun setting. It is led by a parent volunteer Ellery Blood, with support from Jake Sapozhnikov and PPCS teachers Renée and Andrika. National Math Club (https://www.mathcounts.org/programs/math-club) is a program that gives middle school students the opportunity to engage with math in a non-competitive, social environment.
Interested students will also have the option to participate in the MATHCOUNTS competition series
providing students the opportunity to compete in live contests against and alongside their peers.
We’ll be meeting on Wednesday mornings from 7:20 to 8:10 in the middle school science classroom.
All students in grades 6 through 8 are welcome. Fifth graders will be invited to join in the spring, after the competition series ends.
If your child is interested, please follow this link to fill out the google form with your information (or just show up for a meeting, but I’ll still need your email to send out updates). Email PPCS parent Ellery Blood at Ellery_blood@selinc.com with any questions.
