We are in need of Parent/Guardian Volunteers

Dear Parents & Guardians:

Our NRMS PTO is looking for help with the upcoming 8th Grade Dinner Dance! Please read below for ways your family can support your students and make these events successful.

1) 6th & 7th Grade Families - We are asking you to lend a hand at the 8th Grade Dinner Dance (Thursday, June 12th). We need help setting up and loading in the decorations and food, before the start of the event and also packing up and cleaning up after the event. We are also looking for dance chaperones. The parents that volunteered last year can attest that it was fun and easy, and not too much of a time commitment. The 8th grade parents will appreciate your support as they will be home helping their students get ready for their big night, getting dressed, and picking up friends, and transportation back and forth. The 8th Grade Parents thank you for your support!

Please sign up to help Chaperone or Set-up/Clean-up here:

2) 8th Grade Families - We need your participation to help us to provide a great assortment of raffle prizes for our 8th graders at their last NRMS Dance (Friday, June 12th). We are looking for $5-$10 gift cards to local stores for prize give-aways at the dance. Let's make it a wonderful night for these students! Gift cards can be dropped off at the office.

If you’d also like to chaperone or help with set-up/clean-up, please use the link below.

Please sign up to help Chaperone, Set-up/Clean-up, or provide gift cards here:

CHAPERONES Please note: If you would like to chaperone and you do note currently have a valid CORI on file with us, please stop by the office with your driver’s license to complete a CORI form.

Thank you!

Hello NRMS Families,

Our 8th graders completed the Civics MCAS this week. This wraps up all state testing for this year. We are proud of how our students approached testing this year. Students took their time and put forth their best effort. We will be interested to see if the MCAS scores trend in the same direction as our iReady results from this year. We will likely receive score reports from the state in the late summer.

This weekend we turn the calendar to June. Can you believe it? We have had an excellent school year at NRMS. Please do continue to review the list of June events below and we hope to see you in attendance at concerts, awards ceremonies, chaperoning the 8th grade dance, or volunteering. Thanks so much for your continued support.

Among next week's events to highlight are: The 6th and 7th grade Field Day on Tuesday. The 8th Grade Step Up Day at NRHS on Tuesday. The 6th Grade Spring Concert on Wednesday evening. We are also excited to host the first 5th grade field event on Friday, as we bring together all of the current 5th graders from Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet for some team building and fun!
