Major's Minute
Last year on September 29, we opened the doors to our very own food pantry. The first day was a little nerve wracking wondering if anyone really had need in Santa Clara for another food bank. If they did have need for food, did the word get out? Were we working in our own strength or was God leading the way?
A year later, we are serving roughly 74 families through our once a week food pantry, almost four times that first day. We are making connections with the families and God has created a welcoming and safe atmosphere. We've had some challenges here and there, but He has been faithful - allowing us to pray with people, some visiting church, but most of all loving His people in our food line.
Please pray for God's continued guidance as we move our pantry to a larger space to better serve the families. Pray that more opportunities to connect will present themselves and that families will be brought to the throne of God. God is good - all the time!!
