Winnetka Weekly -Parents 10/12/2026
Weekly updates for Winnetka Elementary
Dear Winnetka Families,
We hope you enjoyed a restful Fall Break and had the opportunity to use your State Fair of Texas tickets to create special memories with your families!
Week 9 was a short but mighty three-day week! Our scholars in grades 3–5 completed their Standards Mastery Checks, and we are already seeing some incredible results! We are so proud of their hard work and growth, and we look forward to sharing these celebrations with you at our upcoming Coffee with the Principal at the end of the month!
We have another exciting four-day week ahead, and we are especially looking forward to one of our most anticipated events of the year.. our Fall Fest on Friday, October 16th! This event is not only a wonderful opportunity to bring our Winnetka community together, but also one of our school's biggest fundraisers! All proceeds go directly toward supporting our grade levels. We encourage all families to come out, enjoy an evening of fall fun, and support our Wildcats! To build excitement for the big event, scholars may also wear their favorite fall outfits to school on Friday! (Jeans may be worn, as long as they are not torn/ ripped.)
Finally, please be on the lookout for Parent Conference Night sign-up links coming from your child's teacher this week! With district parent conferences just 10 days away, our teachers are working to ensure every family has an opportunity to connect and discuss their scholar's academic progress. We encourage you to reserve your conference time early to help make this a smooth and meaningful experience for everyone.
We look forward to another wonderful week of learning, celebrating our scholars, and coming together as a school community! Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we continue to BUILD EXCELLENCE together!
With Wildcat Pride,
Principal Jove
