End of Course Exams
The State of Ohio End of Course (EOC) Exams will start in April. Here are the dates for the various assessments that students will take:
April 9th & 10th: ELA 2 (English 10)
April 22nd & 23rd: Math (Algebra 1 and Geometry)
April 29th & 30th: Biology, American History, & Government
Our teachers will be working hard to prepare students for success on each of these exams! Remember that students need to obtain a certain score (684) on the Algebra 1 and the ELA 2 EOC's to meet the "Competency" requirement for graduation in the State of Ohio.
Students can also obtain "seals" towards their "Readiness" requirements for graduation by earning certain scores on the other assessments. Graduation requirements in Ohio can be a little complicated, so please feel free to contact Ms. Posey (our School Counselor) or check out the State website (linked here) for more information. The graduation requirements are also in the 25-26 Course Guide (linked above).
Scholarships
Seniors have been receiving emails from our Counseling Office on a regular basis. Seniors are encouraged to visit our Scholarship Info page (linked here) on the CNE High School site for more information. Don't let these opportunities pass you by!
Immunization Requirement for NEXT School Year
Please see the message below from our school nurse, Ms. Lori Diekmann:
Just a reminder that all 7th graders and 12th graders have vaccine requirements for the 2025-2026 school year. Please schedule your appointment and begin submitting your child's updated vaccination records to the school office.
For the 2025-2026 school year, parents of incoming 7th and incoming 12th graders must provide documentation of immunization compliance (on physician letterhead and/or with physician signature or immunization print out) to the student’s school of attendance by the first day of school OR submit an exemption form to the school by the first day of school, August 14, 2025. Students who have not provided documentation of the Tdap, MCV4 immunization and other required immunizations may be excluded from attending school until documentation of immunizations or exemption has been provided.
The Ohio Department of Health requires all students in grades 7-12 to have one dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) due to an increase in the numbers of cases of pertussis in children who have completed the initial series of tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis. The Ohio Department of Health has also added MCV4 (Meningococcal) immunization to the list of requirements for students entering the 7th-grade and 12th-grade. Students entering 7th grade need one dose of MCV4. Students entering 12th grade need two doses of MCV4, unless they received the first dose after age 16.
Mercy Health CNE School Based Clinic has the required school immunizations. Mercy accepts most insurances and has immunizations available for free and reduced cost for those without insurance or insurance that does not cover vaccines. To schedule an appointment with Mercy, please call (513) 981-4170. Most pediatrician's offices, Krogers, CVS, Walgreens and The Clermont County General Health District also offer the vaccines.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
LinkedUp Community Partnership Opportunity
A couple of months ago, we shared out preliminary information regarding "LinkedUp," a partnership between CNE HS and the Hamilton County Educational Service Center. This partnership provides students with opportunities to connect with outside, private sector work-based learning opportunities. More specifically, students will have access to various educational and career-related experiences based on their individual career interests through a central link application system.
LinkedUp is ready to take the next step in this process, and that includes having our students/families sign up to be part of this partnership. Please use this link to sign up your student for this opportunity!

Senior Section
This coming Tuesday, we will be having another Senior Class meeting during WIN Bell in the Commons. This will be our next round of very important information for Seniors, and we will also be sending information home to parents/guardians after that meeting, through the mail. This is definitely an exciting time of the year for our Seniors and their families!
Before winter break, we had a Senior Class meeting during WIN bell. If you (or your senior) missed it, here is a link to the slide deck that Ms. Posey shared during that meeting.
Please check this link on a regular basis for all updates concerning Class of 2025 announcements and activities!
