Mountain View Elementary
November 2026
Principal's Corner
As we welcome the crisp days of November, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for our incredible school community. This month naturally turns our thoughts toward thankfulness, and at the top of my list is the wonderful partnership we share with you. Your dedication to your children’s education, your volunteer hours, and your continuous encouragement of our teachers make our school a joyful place to learn and grow.
A critical piece of this home-school connection is just around the corner: our Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences. These meetings are a unique opportunity for us to team up, celebrate your child’s successes, and map out a plan for their continued growth.
To help make our time together as productive as possible, here are a few quick tips for your conference:
- Ask your child first: Talk to your student before you arrive. Find out what they feel proud of and what they find challenging.
- Bring your questions: Jot down a few notes about your child’s academic habits, emotional well-being, or social connections at school.
- Focus on a team approach: View the meeting as a collaboration. We both want the same thing—to see your child thrive!
Your presence at these conferences means the world to our staff. It sends a powerful message to your child that their education is a top priority for all the adults in their life.
Thank you for trusting us with your children every day. I wish you and your loved ones a beautiful, restful month filled with gratitude and warmth.

A few things to remember if your student misses school:
- Please call the school to let us know why your student is absent.
- If you visit the doctor, please bring a note to excuse the absence.
