Good afternoon, Phoenix!🔥

The dawn of Hexter 3 is upon us! This is the last full week of Hexter 2. Now is not the time to miss school, assignments, or sleep. Next Sunday, Daylight Saving Time ends, and clocks will move back one hour.🕘

Next week, we have Spirit Week, Trunk or Treat, and Phoenix Day. All events are sure to be exciting and spooktacular!👻 Please make sure that your costumes are school-appropriate on Costume Day for Trunk or Treat, and all dress code rules still apply. Lighters and open flames are not permitted at the pumpkin patch on Friday.🌽

🎃Pumpkins can be scary- there are people who don't like dairy. But just as a cow says moo, don't be scared of the ghost that goes boo...👻

Have a great week!

~Dr. Wiggins

Tech Writing & Technology Class Unite!

This Hexter, Mrs. Thomas and Mr. Wadsworth are co-teaching their Technology and Technical Writing classes!

For this activity, students are building a marble roller coaster made of paper and tape in order to better understand the physics of force and energy, as well as the technological ideals of construction and communication.

Stay tuned for the end product!

Ropes Challenge Course Highlights Ropes Challenge Course Highlights

Ms. Hagmaier took her Hexter 2 Foundations students to Red Rocks Open Canyon Space for some rock-climbing and team-building activities!

The Ropes Challenge Course is a required portion of the Foundations class that all students must attend to pass the class and enter Discovery.

It is amazing to see all the students push through their fears and tackle the ropes challenge.

Check out these highlights from their day!

Families of 2027 Graduating Seniors,

If your student is looking at attending a community college, 4 year college/university, trade school or any learning institution after graduation, please know that completing the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Colorado Application for Student Aid (CAFSA) is an important step to help your student finance attending these institutions. Many of these schools require the application to offer scholarships through their institutions.

Completing the FAFSA will also apply to possible Federal grants, work study programs or loans that can assist your student in meeting their educational goals. Please know that after completing the application, you will receive financial aid information that you can choose to accept or decline.

Please find a resource that includes videos that may help you complete the FAFSA forms and direct links to the applications. The sooner you complete the application the better.

If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Shea.
