Welcome to PPCS 2025-2026!
School Picture Make-up/Retake Day
Tuesday, October 14 is picture make-up/retake day. If your student missed picture day or needs a retake, Portrait EFX will be back on the morning of the 14th.
Join Us for the Palouse Prairie Charter School’s (PPCS) Planting Party and Fill the Flat Fundraiser!
When: Saturday, October 11, 9:00-noon
Come be part of building a thriving native landscape at PPCS! This is a great chance to learn what’s happening on the school grounds, connect with the landscaping committee, and help our students bring more native plants to life this fall.
Ways to Get Involved:
Volunteer at our Kick-off Planting Party
Bring family and friends, water, good boots, and weather-appropriate gear.
4P Kits (flier below) will be available for $30 (cash or check) full of native plants for your home or to donate to PPCS’s amazing native landscape.
Fill the Flat Fundraiser: Our goal is to raise $350 for 2.5 flats (240 plugs) so every student can plant a native plant! Costs include:
Plugs - $2 each / $1.40 each in bulk.
Larger native forbs - $5
Woody shrubs - $10.
Donate in Person: (cash or check)
Donate Online: Can’t attend? You can still support by donating directly at our PPCS link.
Be sure to select “School Building / Landscaping” when making your donation.Qdoba Fundraiser: On November 19 (10:30am-10pm) you can also support the landscaping fund while enjoying a meal at Qdoba.
Questions or want to pledge support? Contact David Herbold at dherbold@palouseprairieschool.org.
Let’s come together to make our school bloom—one native plant (or flat!) at a time.
Reminders
Attendance/Dismissal
Please remember that all communication regarding student attendance and dismissal plan changes need to come to the front office. We ask that parents please email office@palouseprairieschool.org or call the office at (208) 882-3684 and we will relay information to teachers. In addition to the front office, if you would like to include your child's teacher when emailing, you are welcome to do so. Please refrain from texting teachers about attendance and dismissal issues.
For a quick and easy way to report absences and late arrivals you can use Safe Arrival in the School Messenger App. To opt in to School Messenger, text "Y" or "YES" to 67587, or scan the QR code.
Snacks
Please send your child to school with a snack daily. We can provide snacks to students with a genuine need, but our supplies are limited.

We still have a few openings for Art Camp on October 31, January 23 & 26, April 3, and June 3. The cost is $25/day and each subsequent sibling is $12/day.
