Wednesday's Words

Dear Families,
On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the Norfolk School Committee held a public hearing and voted to approve the preliminary Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) school budget. This budget will be presented to the Norfolk Advisory Board on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and will be brought before the community at the Annual Town Meeting in May.
The FY27 budget request reflects the staffing and educational resources essential to maintaining a high-quality education for all Norfolk children. This is a conservative proposal that recognizes the financial challenges currently facing our town. It allows the district to meet contractual obligations for salaries and services while maintaining class sizes within School Committee policy limits. Regrettably, this proposal does not yet allow for the restoration of previously reduced positions in technology integration, mental health, or paraprofessional support.
As a district, we continue to aggressively pursue competitive grants to bridge these gaps. We remain committed to partnering with the Town of Norfolk to develop a long-term plan that addresses our growing population and ensures the high-quality educational programming our students and families deserve.

Sincerely,
Dr. Ingrid N. Allardi

SCHOOL & DISTRICT REPORT CARDS
I’m pleased to share Norfolk Public Schools’ 2025 School & District Report Cards with our community. These reports offer a broader look at how our schools are supporting student learning and where we continue to grow. I encourage families to take a few moments to review the report cards and reach out with any questions or feedback - we truly value your partnership.
We have also noticed that we missed the opportunity to share the letter regarding 2024’s report cards and links. These links are also provided below.
Warmly,
Katie Young
