PAX - Good Behavior Game
PAX is in full swing at Kramer! The students are getting involved and it has been wonderful to see them take part in implementing PAX in their classrooms and in the building! Over the next 2 months they will be learining about being a PAX leader and what PAX quite is. Take a look at the attachments below to learn more. We would love for you to ask your child about PAX and what it means to be a good PAX leader. Some prompts a few of our teachers use: "Today, I bettered my community/school/class by_____." or
"While being a PAX Leader this week...
T- What did you try?
G- What are you grateful for?
I- What inspired you this week?
F- What was fun this week?"
The Oxford Lions Club Sight Saving Committee is collecting used eyeglasses (including sunglasses), as well as glasses cases! These glasses and cases are donated all over the world to children who are in need. The lenses and frames from the donated glasses are modified to meet individual children's eye needs. Every year, Oxford Lions Club collects and sends 900-plus pairs of glasses to children in need!
Please send any glasses donations to Betsy Beaton (Marshall Elementary School) or Shaunna Tafelski (Board Office) by the beginning of December. We are happy to swing by and pick up glasses donations or they can be dropped off at Marshall or the Board Office. Thank you for supporting the Oxford Lions Club! :)
*PTG*
Please note that the November 18th PTG meeting is being RESCHEDULED to Tuesday, December 2nd at 7 pm (virtual meeting). This move allows interested members to attend the November 18th seminar titled "Building a Tech Healthy Household" in the THS auditorium from 6 to 7:30 pm. Thank you for your patience!
KRAMER LOST & FOUND
Read At Home
Attention Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade families: RAH begins on Wednesday September 24th. This will be our first reward day, so please return your RAH sheet by Wednesday!
Kramer RAH (Reading At Home) is a voluntary program from K-2nd graders that builds a home-school connection by rewarding students for reading at home. Each week students record the books they've read and turn-in record sheets for rewards. Rewards alternate between a student selected book and a small prize.
Have you connected your Kroger Rewards card to the Kramer PTG yet? Each account can be connected to ONE nonprofit. When you use this feature, Kroger donates a percentage of your expenses to our PTG. You just have to sign up once!

Health Education Curriculum Update - SB 288
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW), formally called the Ohio Department of Education, has shared with public schools across the state Senate Bill 288. This legislation requires that health education curricula be updated to include (K-12/developmentally appropriate) prevention education information in the areas of sexual abuse and sexual violence for students in public schools.

Lunch with the Counselor…
One of my goals this school year is to get better acquainted with each and every student at Kramer. I hope to achieve this by inviting small groups of students to have lunch with me each day. In the month of September, I plan to focus on having lunch with and getting to know our new kindergarten class!!
I also provide small groups in which students work with their peers to learn skills that are helpful both in and out of the classroom, as well as short term one on one support. Some of the small groups and one on one support focus on specific areas such as self regulation, coping skills, relationships, etc.
If you are interested in your student receiving any additional support, please complete and return the appropriate permission form.
