We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow night at our Back-to-School Open House. Families are welcome to come anytime during the 90-minute window, from 4:30-6:00PM. Please arrive at a time that works for your family, but also gives you enough time to meet teachers, see classrooms, etc. prior to 6:00PM. Here is a brief list of want to accomplish as families:
- Visit your child's classroom.
- Meet your child's teacher.
- Drop off school supplies (Grades 1-5)
- Say hello to our Specialists, Special Education, and Support Staff
- Visit the gym for information about Community Education, Adventures Plus, Volunteer Services, Girls Scouts, Child Nutrition, and More!
See you all soon,
Mr. Anderson (Principal) & Mrs. Becklund (Assistant Principal)
First Day of School
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
To ALL Madison families, please be prepared to be patient during our arrival and dismissal times when you are dropping off or picking up your child. Please refer to the visuals below for more information on our expectations and traffic flow. Patience, kindness, and safe driving make the process go very smoothly. We expect additional delays & challenges this fall with road construction on Quincy Blvd and Madison St, which isn't expected to be completed until the end of October. Please plan accordingly.
Madison Welcomes New Staff
We are excited to welcome the following new staff to the Madison community.
- Jane Harris, Long term substitute in Gr. 1 (1K)
- Chang Thao, Recess Para
Teacher Assignments
Teacher assignments are available in ParentVUE. We do not send postcards or letters via US Mail, instead we expect all parents to check in ParentVUE so that you know who your child's teacher is prior to Open House on Wed. Sept. 2nd. Please do not call the office to request this information. Here are instructions to finding your child's teacher in ParentVue. If you need assistance logging into ParentVue, please see the AH Parent Resource Library.
School Supplies
The link below will take you to the K-5 school supply lists for the 2026-27 school year. Students in grades 1-5 are welcome to bring their supplies to Open House (9/2/26). Kindergarten students should bring their school supplies to their Meet & Greet Conference on Sep 8 or Sep 9.
Madison Parent/Teacher Organization
🎉 Welcome to a New School Year: Consider PTO 🎉
At the last meeting in May, there were not enough nominees to seat an entire PTO board for the 2026-27 school year, so our Madison PTO is currently on hold, pending a new board. If you are interested in helping restart our PTO, please reach out to the contacts below. Also stay tuned for a Q & A Meeting in September where interested parents can come to learn more about how they might help re-start the PTO.

Back-to-School Verification
It’s important that each family (Grades 1-5) completes the Back to School Annual Verification process before the first day of school. Verification ensures that each student’s school has confirmed emergency contact information and releases for the safety of each student. You will have three options:
- ✅ Choose BACK TO SCHOOL Annual Verification
- 🚫 DO NOT CHOOSE New Enrollment
- 🚫 DO NOT CHOOSE Open Enrollment
Even if families’ contact information has not changed, it’s important for families to log in to access a variety of other student information in the coming weeks, including teacher assignments, attendance, school handbooks, report cards, activity/field trip fees and more. It’s expected that families complete the process before the first day of school. Parents/guardians can access back-to- school forms by logging into ParentVUE.
Anoka-Hennepin District Calendar
