MIDDLE SCHOOL MONTHLY MEMO
October 2024
Families and Guardians of our Middle School Students
We are thrilled to share that our school year is off to a fantastic start! Our students are already demonstrating their positive Tiger Traits by being respectful, responsible, and taking pride in their surroundings. It’s wonderful to see such enthusiasm and dedication from our middle school students.
Our PTA fundraiser has kicked off and will run through mid-October. This fundraiser is crucial in providing our schools with many additional tools and resources, and your support is greatly appreciated. Additionally, we have parent/teacher conferences coming up on October 10th, which will be a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and collaborate with their teachers. We’re also excited to announce our first school dance of the year on October 24th, promising to be a fun and memorable evening for our students. All the details about these events can be found in this newsletter.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our parents for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can ensure a successful and enriching school year for our students.

Student and Vehicle Safety
Reminders
- Please drop off and pick up your child at the front main entrance. Do not use the back of the building (Door 14) for drop off or pick up.
- Please do not drop off your child in the parking lot. With the traffic from the drop off or pick up lane, it is unsafe for your child to cross to the sidewalk. We want to ensure the safety of all.
- Please do not park behind the Middle School. With deliveries truck and maintenance vehicles going back and forth, that area is for authorized vehicles only. Also, students should not be using the service road as a sidewalk as there is a designated sidewalk between buildings. We are asking all of this for the safety of the students and parents.
- We have some cars in the morning driving a little fast and people on their phones.
- Please do your part in keeping the students safe by following the rules.
PTA Fundraiser
We are excited to announce that the PTA fundraiser kicked off on Friday, September 27th. Order forms will be distributed to advisories, and students can take them home to start selling. When returning the forms, please ensure the top section is filled out with the student’s name and advisory teacher. While we prefer forms to be returned by October 10th, but will accept them until October 16th.
This year’s fundraiser is once again through Cherrydale, offering a variety of cookies, pizzas, snacks, and more. Although it’s the same company as last year, they have updated their inventory with new items. The catalog showcases all the different products available for purchase.
The funds raised are crucial for the PTA, as they support classroom supplies, activities, and field trips. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
Additionally, you can support the PTA through membership and clothing sales.

From the Tech Department
Greetings Families!
We are a month into the school year and your student has most likely settled into a routine. Part of that routine is bringing a device home each day to facilitate their learning. We ask that as their parent/guardian, you remind them of proper device care and the importance of keeping their device clean and safe. Please refer to the district's Digital Learning Handbook at the link below, which covers in detail our expectations for device care as well as details of our device Protection Plan program (what is covered and what is not covered under this program). If you have not yet paid your child's device fee for the 2024-25 school year, it's not too late! You can still pay this and have coverage from the date of payment through the end of the school year. You can make payment either through your parent portal or by sending cash or check to the school media center. Thank you, and please do not hesitate to contact our technology team with any questions.
