🎄 Holiday Attendance Campaign: “Show Up & Shine!” 🎄 Holiday Attendance Campaign: “Show Up & Shine!”

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

This week we will be giving incentives to the grade level with the highest attendance rate. We will be announcing last weeks grade level winner on Monday, December 8th.

Let’s work together to ensure our Wolves are here on time, every day. Strong attendance helps students:

  • Stay on track academically

  • Build positive habits

  • Participate in our fun school-wide events and celebrations

We understand the season can get busy, but maintaining regular attendance makes a big difference. Thank you for partnering with us to support your child’s success!

Each class that all students are in attendance and on time will receive a special incentive!

Hope to see you all at PJs and Santa! Hope to see you all at PJs and Santa!

Mandatory Dress Code Policy:

At Workman, we dress like responsible, respectful, and safe scholars!! The mandatory uniform/standardized dress policy remains in effect throughout the Covina-Valley Unified School District.

Listed below are the regulations:

  • The basic uniform includes navy blue or tan bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts, jumpers), and white, navy blue, or light blue polo shirts. Workman School t-shirts may also be worn any day.

  • No denim/jeans of any kind will be allowed except on select days.

  • Clothing must look neat, clean, and fit correctly. Fingertip Rule- When hands are down at your side, skirts and shorts must be as long or longer than your fingertips. No oversized or baggy clothing, jeans, or objects considered being gang-related allowed.

  • Shirts and blouses must have sleeves and collars and must be solid-- free of designs, writing, emblems, and logos not related to school programs. School spirit t-shirts are allowed every day.

  • For safety reasons, socks and shoes with closed toes and straps across the heel must be worn. Crocks, sandals and high heels are not permitted.

  • For safety reasons, hoops or dangling earrings may not be worn by students.

Students who violate the dress code may be directed to return home to change or be temporarily loaned a substitute uniform for the day. Students will be allowed to wear uniforms of nationally recognized youth organizations (such as Boy & Girl Scouts).
