The Counseling Department has a Calming Space located in the College and Career Center. If students find that they need a safe space for a brief, yet intentional break to defuse anger, re-center outside of the classroom, or deescalate emotions/anxiety before becoming overwhelmed, they should ask their teacher for a pass and check in at the Counseling Suite front desk.
Need to Talk? You're not Alone!
If you need to talk, the 988 Lifeline is here. Call, Text, or Chat (Link Below)
At the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, they understand that life's challenges can sometimes be difficult. Whether you're facing mental health struggles, emotional distress, alcohol or drug use concerns, or just need someone to talk to, their caring counselors are here for you. You are not alone.

Minimum Day - Application Deadline December 5th!
Utilize Extra Time During the Day!
Seniors, are you interested in coming to school late or leaving early? If your answer is yes, then apply for Minimum Day! Through Minimum Day, you can miss 1st OR 4th block. You can use the time how ever you'd like, but you MUST BE OFF CAMPUS so transportation is required. You cannot utilize the privilege of Minimum Day if you already have Mentorship or Work Based Learning on your spring schedule. Additionally, you must be on track for May 2026 graduation with no more than three required courses remaining for the spring semester. If this is you, stop by and pick up an application from Mrs. Acedo in the Counseling Suite and return the form by December 5th.
