Meet the Counselors!

Joseph Grote Professional School Counselor

I have been a school counselor at the elementary level for 8 years and a high school counselor for 4 years in NISD, SAISD and Poteet ISD. I have two children a daughter who just graduated High School and a son who is an 8th grade student. I look forward to working with the students and families here at Behlau Elementary School. I aim to bring a well-rounded guidance program to your students that focuses on building Intrapersonal relationships, Interpersonal relationships, career readiness, and personal health and safety. The counseling program will focus on creating a comprehensive guidance program, small group counseling, parent and family engagement, and providing community resources and planning.
