Join the Cardinal Community for:

• Pumpkin decorating

• Fall-themed activities and games

• Hispanic Heritage cultural displays and food

• Bake sale

• Refreshments (pizza, popcorn, snacks and drinks)

• Swag sale - Stock up on your cool-weather gear!

• An outdoor viewing of Encanto!

Festivities will start at 4 p.m. Movie begins at sundown. Closed captions will be provided. This event is open to all; please help spread the word to friends and neighbors.

We can still use some volunteers to make this event a success!

• If you’d like to contribute baked goods to the bake sale, you can drop items off in the main office during the day Wednesday. All items must be individually packaged/wrapped and NO NUTS please.

• Please sign-up here to work a shift on Wednesday afternoon, or email the PTA at info@jowilsonpta.org. (Even an hour or so would be helpful!) There are opportunities to help with set-up, kids’ activities, glitter tattoos, pumpkin sales/pickup, concessions, and clean-up.

Thanks to all who pre-ordered pumpkin(s) and helped spread the word! If you pre-ordered, you should have received an email from the PTA with payment/pickup information. Limited quantities of pumpkins will be available for day-of purchase at the Fall Festival. Small pumpkins are $5; large pumpkins are $12.

All proceeds from the sales of pumpkins support activities that benefit students and teachers.

Picture Day is coming on Wednesday, October 25th! Lifetouch Preschool Photography, known for capturing images from infants to toddlers for preschools and daycares nationwide, will capture our photos this year. As a reminder, students are not required to wear uniforms and all students PK3-5th grade will be taking pictures.

Transform your yard or stoop into a festive fall display and sign up for inclusion in the Capitol Hill Community Foundation’s Literary Pumpkin Walk map. Choose a book or favorite character, and design a single pumpkin or an entire yard scene. Each year, neighbors vote for their favorite entry, and the Foundation donates $1,000 to a school selected by the winner.
