Eagle Update

Welcome Back!

It has been wonderful to welcome students back this week and hear about all the exciting adventures, both near and far, that our families had during their time off.

As you know, our teachers returned on Monday and were able to engage in various professional development opportunities. Teachers are always learning new techniques and strategies to ensure we are meeting the needs of all learners. This time, teachers dug deep into MAP assessment data, wrapped up a year long book study, and explored new activities to bring into the PE curriculum - just to give a few examples of learning that took place!

There are a lot of exciting activities coming up in April! Next week, our 5th grade students will be heading over to the middle school to learn more about the opportunities they will have in 6th grade. The week of April 13, we will be celebrating all of our volunteers and the work they do for Archer Glen staff and students. On April 14, we will have our International Cultural Night from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm. This is a fantastic event that allows our school to learn more about the various cultures that are represented among our Archer Glen families. Everyone is welcome to attend!

The District welcomes volunteers into our school buildings. All volunteers will need to complete and have an approved background check on file prior to volunteering (this must be renewed each school year). The background check process can take 7-10 business days, so please allow sufficient processing time if you are planning to volunteer for a specific event.

If you are looking for volunteer opportunities at Archer Glen, please sign up using HelpCounter . If you are new to Archer Glen you will need to create a new login. Past volunteers can use their old sign in. (Please note that this link does not work well on your phone so you will need to use another device).

ALL parents will need to fill out their information again as the system gets updated each fall. The registration will ask some questions about volunteer preferences, please answer the questions and select all activities you might be interested in learning more about!
