Message from Ms. Gullo
Dear Yellow Springs Families,
Earlier today, you received a Find Out First communication for our school containing a link for you to complete an intent form for your child(ren) regarding Frederick County Public Schools move to a hybrid learning model for students at the start of the second semester on January 28, 2021. The link to the intent form is provided here again for your convenience: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HybridOpenParentIntentDec20
Please know any decision to change the timeline for the hybrid learning model implementation would be made by our Superintendent in collaboration with the local health department. Parents are able to choose for their child(ren) to participate in a full virtual model instead of hybrid learning if that is what is most comfortable for the family.
It is important that an intent form be completed for each of your children so that we can plan for hybrid learning. The intent form closes on Friday, December 11th.
I continue to appreciate all your efforts to support our students during this time! Thank you and stay well and safe!
Best regards, Sue

New Protocol for Snow Days
In the event of inclement weather, students will continue to engage in virtual instruction using the schedule that is currently in effect -- the schedule for all virtual or the schedule for the hybrid model.
An announcement cancelling small group instruction will be made by 5 a.m. on inclement weather days, and those students will also participate in virtual learning for the day.
If the weather event is significant enough to warrant closing FCPS offices, then an announcement will be made that the entire system is closed and NO virtual instruction will occur. This will be considered a "snow day" and the day will be made up as outlined in the FCPS Calendar Handbook.
