SOESC Named One of Ohio’s Best Workplaces for 2025!

We are proud to share that Southern Ohio Educational Service Center has been named a 2025 Best Workplaces in Ohio Awardee by Ohio Business Magazine!

This honor recognizes organizations across the state that exemplify outstanding workplace culture, strong leadership, and a commitment to employee growth and satisfaction. Being selected as an awardee reflects the incredible work of our team and the positive, mission-driven environment we’ve built together.

The 10th annual Best Workplaces in Ohio feature will appear in the Summer issue of Ohio Business Magazine, celebrating businesses that make Ohio a great place to live and work.

Thank you to each team member for helping make SOESC a place where excellence, collaboration, and innovation thrive every day. This recognition is truly a team win!

Let’s continue leading with purpose and passion — together.

Background Check/Fingerprints/Webcheck Services FAQ Background Check/Fingerprints/Webcheck Services FAQ

License Application Criminal History Questions and Background Checks

When applying for licensure, applicants must answer five questions related to criminal history and prior professional license discipline. There are different questions for first-time applicants and returning/renewal applicants. First-time applicants must disclose all convictions, diversion programs, and professional license discipline no matter how long ago it occurred. Returning and renewal applicants are required to disclose any new criminal offenses or professional license discipline that has occurred since the last time they applied. The Professional Conduct FAQs and the CORE Applicant User Manual provide more detailed instructions for answering the application legal questions. Applicants should also plan to complete any background check requirements before or at the same time they apply since getting the full background check results can take up to 60 days or more.
