The schedule for each core teacher is on the flyer in this newsletter and our parents are welcome to attend. On Wednesday, October 16th our counselors will be hosting the first Breakfast Club of the year from 8:15am - 9:00am. All students are welcome to come, have snacks, and participate in connection activities to meet new friends. Students who are interested in signing up for clubs and finding students with common interests, can use the link in the newsletter. Students must use their mytusd emails to access the Google Form.

What is Measure J? What is Measure J?

As election season draws near, you may see signs for "Measure J" in and around Tustin Unified. In case you ae wondering, Measure J is a school bond measure on the November 5, 2024 ballot for Tustin Unified School District (TUSD). It seeks voter approval to issue up to $261 million in bonds. The funds would be used to repair and upgrade aging school facilities, modernize classrooms and labs, improve safety and security systems, and update infrastructure like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. The measure also includes provisions for citizen oversight and audits to ensure that all funds are locally controlled and used effectively. For more information, please navigate to our district website HERE.

Meet our New Hewes Staff Member Mrs.Williams, she supports students with last names that start with the letters Lo - Z. Last year Mrs.Williams was a counselor at Tustin High School where she worked for the previous five years. She attended Rippon Middle School in Virginia where she grew up. As we welcome students each morning, we kindly ask all parents to help us keep our drop-off area running smoothly. Please remember to leave parking spots open for our staff, as they need easy access to the school to prepare for the day. We’ve noticed some parents are parking and waiting with students in their cars, which can create congestion. To ensure a safe and efficient drop-off experience for everyone, we encourage you to drop off your child and continue on your way. Thank you for your cooperation!
