K-5 Arrival Procedures K-5 Arrival Procedures

All students will enter the building at the front doors.

  • NOTE: Kindergarten students will all gather at the little playground just south of the front doors on the first and second day only. Parents may take their kindergarten children to the little playground on these days. If your kindergarten child takes the bus, know that we will have many staff members who will take care of the kindergarteners and get them to their destination!

Preschool Arrival Procedures Preschool Arrival Procedures

Preschool children begin on Monday, August 24. Preschool students will enter the school the same way our K-5 students do. Preschool staff will greet children right inside the front doors on a daily basis. If you drive your preschool child to school, you can park in the parking lot and walk your child to the front doors where preschool staff will greet you.

Parent Drop Off Procedures Parent Drop Off Procedures

We have many parents who drop their children off at school each day. Parents are not able to park curbside and get out of the vehicle as this causes significant congestion with cars pulling in/out of our campus. In order to keep the drop off lines safe and efficient, parents can stop curbside, allow their children to get out of the vehicle, and then continue forward to Owens Street. A safety tip is to have your child(ren) step out of your vehicle from the passenger side rather than the driver side of the car. Please note: There will be no left hand turns allowed into Stonebridge when driving north on Owens Street anytime a traffic controller is present on the road.

When do the doors open? When do the doors open?

Our doors will open at 7:30 a.m. We do not have supervision for students prior to 7:30 a.m. unless they are signing into Adventure Club. Please do not have your child at school prior to 7:30 a.m. Children should arrive between 7:30 a.m and 7:40 a.m.

Dismissal Procedures Dismissal Procedures

Teachers will walk their classes to the front of the building and dismiss students to their afternoon destinations. Students in carpool will be supervised in the gym until the buses depart, at which time they will move outside to the front of the school.

Parent Pick Up Procedures Parent Pick Up Procedures

Parents will form a line on Owens Street facing south. After buses have departed from the Stonebridge campus, parents picking up children will be waved in by the crossing guard. Please note: There will be no left hand turns allowed into Stonebridge when driving north on Owens Street anytime a traffic controller is present on the road.
    • Parents will pull around the circle all the way to the fire hydrant as staff and patrollers help students locate and enter their vehicle. Please consider making a sign with your child’s first and last name in large letters to hang in the passenger’s side window, so students are located faster. Click here to view the carpool map.

    • If you need to assist in buckling a child, please pull up beyond the fire hydrant to the “Buckle Up Zone'' to buckle your child. This helps maintain an efficient and continuous flow of traffic.

Attendance Attendance

If your child is going to be late or absent for any reason, we ask that you enter the absence in PowerSchool or contact the Attendance line at (651) 351-8701, in addition to emailing your child’s teacher.

Early Departures Early Departures

We understand that on a rare occasion a student’s end of the day plan may change. We ask that you make all attempts to coordinate these changes in advance. If you must get a message to your child, please do so before 12:00 p.m. on the given day so the office has sufficient time to get a message to your child’s teacher.

Student Cell Phone Use Student Cell Phone Use

Students are not permitted to use their cell phone, earbuds, or smart watches during the school day. All of these personal devices should remain at home. If a student needs to bring a personal device, it must be off and remain in backpacks for the entirety of the day. If families need to contact their children during the school day, they need to call the main office at (651) 351-8700.
