A Parmenter Poem for May

The days are full, the sun shines bright,
We’re moving through May with hearts so light.
So here’s a rhyme to keep you in tune,
With all that’s coming—it’ll be June soon!

Yearbooks! They’re due by May 10,
A keepsake for now and again.
The last one ever—don’t delay,
Place your order without dismay!

Memorial Day is drawing near,
A time to honor and hold dear.
Our concert invites veterans, too—
From Parmenter’s heart, we welcome you.

And oh, the PCC, what a crew!
With lunch and flowers and breakfast too.

The signs, the treats, the joyful cheer—
We felt the love all week this year.

With field trips, fun, and learning tight,
We’re soaking up each day just right.
Thanks for all you do and say—
You make the magic, every day.

You're invited to our annual Memorial Day Concert on May 22 at 9:30AM as we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The concert will take place in the front loop of Parmenter School, with the main entrance serving as our stage.

Please see the flyer below for details—and if you know a veteran in our Parmenter community who would like to attend, we’d love to welcome them. Reach out with any questions!

As always, the safety of our students, families, and staff is our top priority. We ask all drivers to follow posted traffic laws, use extra caution during arrival and dismissal, and avoid parking or driving on the wrong side of the road on Wachusett Street. Even in a rush, it’s important that we model safe, respectful behavior in our school zone.

Additionally, please adhere to the “No Left Turn” (from Wachusett Street) signage when entering the front loop during arrival and pick-up. The Franklin Police Department is aware and may take notice — several reminders have already been issued this year.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe and respectful for all.

Transportation Registration for the 2025-26 School Year will open on April 29, 2025. More information on how to register will be posted to the website and emailed to families when registration opens.

Please do your best to have students present on these dates.

The 5th Grade Celebration Committee has begun to plan an awesome celebration for our 5th grade class! SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday June 11th- 5th Grade Celebration! (rain date- June 10th)

If you are a 5th grade parent, please email Amy Papagno at papagnoa@gmail.com. We are putting together an email chain of 5th grade parents. This is where you will receive information about the event- lunch orders, sweatshirt orders, t-shirt orders, volunteering the day of the event... you do not want to miss this information! Please email Amy at your earliest convenience!

Our current 5th graders will be the last class to graduate from Parmenter! Let's make it the best celebration yet! The current estimated cost per student is approximately $150. Our first big fundraising initiative is direct donations from our 5th grade families. If you are able, please use the QR code below, or the flyer in your 5th grader's folder to make a donation. Donations are completely voluntary, but we appreciate the help to make this a great celebration for our 5th graders! THANK YOU!
