Welcome to the New School Year!
2026-2027 is going to be GREAT
Dear Timber Ridge Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are returning to Timber Ridge or joining our school family for the very first time, we are so excited to welcome you. We look forward to partnering with you as we begin another wonderful year of learning, growth, and celebration.
At Timber Ridge, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, welcomed, valued, and connected. When students know they belong, they are empowered to take risks, build relationships, and reach their fullest potential. We are committed to supporting not only our students, but also their families, as we grow and learn together throughout the school year.
Our Tiger Creed reminds us of the values we strive to live each day:
I am a Tiger. I am tenacious in pursuit of my goals. I act with integrity and show gratitude in my daily life. I have high expectations for myself and others, and I show respect through my actions and words. I am a Tiger.
It is an honor to serve the Timber Ridge community. I am Mrs. Megan Adams, your principal, and I am thrilled to continue serving the families of Timber Ridge. Alongside me is Mrs. Beth Johnson, our assistant principal, who shares a deep commitment to helping every child succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
We are excited for an incredible year ahead and can't wait to see all that our Timber Ridge Tigers accomplish. Thank you for trusting us with your children; we are grateful to partner with you in making this a fantastic school year!
With Tiger Pride from Your Awesome Admin,
Mrs. Adams & Mrs. Johnson

Helpful tips for the first couple days
- Our parking lot is SMALL! Please be patient as we try to safely help students get to school. DO NOT park along the main road (N 33rd street) as it will block the buses from entering.
- Doors open at 8:20am every day. The tardy bell rings at 8:40am.
- You are welcome to walk your child into school the first day.
- Please make your goodbyes short and sweet so teachers and students can get started in their routines! Making this short will also help clear up our parking spots so other families can walk their child into school.
- Beginning Monday August 17th, we will continue our safety protocols and require ALL school visitors to show ID and report to the front office.

3) Continue in two lines around the loop.
4) Zipper merge once you arrive at the blue pod🔵A staff member will help direct traffic.
5) Pull all the way forward, even if you pass your child. They will come to you.
6) DO NOT get out of your car. Staff will help your child get in the car.
7). You may not park in the parking lot and walk up to get your child.
**Please be patient for the first few days as we all learn the process. You can help by ensuring your child knows their car rider number**
Car Rider Pro Tips
Want to look like a pro on the first day? Follow these pro tips!
1) Driver stays in the vehicle
2) Make your goodbyes and hellos short and sweet
3) Have your child ready to exit the car when you pull around (their backpack is on their back, items gathered, door unlocked!)
3) Limit cell phone use
4) Pull all the way forward
5) If your child needs help getting unbuckled or buckled in, pull forward to the 🟥red squares🟥
to keep the line moving.
Safety Procedures
In an effort to keep our students & staff safe while at school, we will require all visitors to show ID before entering the building. When you arrive at the front door, please ring the doorbell and one of our office staff will assist you. Please have your ID ready to verify who you are. Finally, while we typically endorse niceties, in this instance, please do not hold the door open for other patrons. We need each person to ring the doorbell and verify their identity before entering the building.
Important Health Information
If your child needs to take medication during school hours, please visit the health office to drop off medication. It needs to be in the original prescription container. Please do NOT send medication with children to school - guardians must bring it to the office.
To use medication while at school, you must fill out the Health Form. Complete the form online or during Meet the Teacher.
If your child has a food allergy, be sure to visit with the cafeteria manager to ensure a plan is in place to keep your child safe.

Counseling Corner with Mrs. Rachel Irvin
I'm excited to serve Timber Ridge again as your school counselor! You can find more about me and the services I will be providing to your student(s) at Meet the Teacher Night! Keep an eye out for these three QR codes-full of great information: "Meet the Counselor", "Community Resources", and "TR's Parent Resource Room."
The start of school can be a big transition with a lot of change. Changes in routine can be challenging and bring mixed emotions, especially for kids. You may notice your child being excited, anxious, fearful, nervous, or even sad to see summer come to an end.
Here are a few tips for a smooth transition back to school for you and your child:
- Practice consistent bedtime and morning routines.
- Talk about the changes. Listen to their concerns and excitement. Reassure them and be positive in your response.
- Set boundaries on technology/screen time.
- Let them know what to expect at drop off or pickup. When they know what to expect it may help ease some anxiety.
- Be prepared ahead of time-pack backpack and choose outfits the night before, make sure they have breakfast.
- Remind your child that you believe in them and are so excited about their school year.
As always, if needs arise during the first few weeks of school, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am passionate about connecting families with available resources and partnering with them to remove barriers that may impact a student's educational success. Together, we can help ensure every child has the support they need to thrive both academically and socially.
