Jefferson Early Release

Dear Jefferson families,

As I’m sure many of you have heard, a large fire at 5304 N. Albina Avenue has adversely impacted air quality, both in our neighborhood and our school building.

In the interest of student and staff safety – and on the advice of Portland Bureau of Emergency Management and Portland Fire and Rescue – we are releasing early today. Students and staff already at PCC, where the air quality remains at a safe level, will continue with their classes.

Students will be released at 1 p.m. All after-school activities are canceled. School leaders will remain in the building for the rest of the day to assist students and families. We do not expect this to impact tomorrow's school day.
