A HUGE Thank You to our PTO

Our students and staff have benefitted immeasurably from the efforts of our PTO. Thank you to everyone who contributed in large and small ways to making Prairie a better place!

Recognition Wrap-up

Photos of this year's ceremony were taken by Visual Image Photography (VIP). All images will be posted online to view and order in about a week. You will receive an email when they are ready to view and order, or you can visit www.vipis.com. Please contact VIP at support@vipis.com with any questions.

Here is the link to the recorded ceremony.

If your student did not receive a yearbook, certificate or certificate holder, you can pick them up at the school during school hours.

Safely Picking Up Students After School

All drivers must wait in the car line until you reach the pick-up zone at the front of the building. Do not park in the main lot or in the new, southwest lot near the ELC. Students walking through traffic create safety concerns for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Embrace a Summer of Reading and Friendship!

This summer, invite your child to embark on a reading adventure filled with learning and friendship! Our BMS Summer Read Newsletter is brimming with fun activities and inspiring information, encouraging students to read books with the powerful theme of friendship.

See Something, Say Something

Barrington 220 is now partnering with an Illinois school safety helpline aimed at providing students a place to report information that might prevent bullying, suicide, and campus violence. Safe2Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It allows students to confidentially share school safety issues via a mobile app, text, email, or phone call. You will notice that the "See Something, Say Something" button on our district and school website now links directly to the Safe2Help contact page. We are asking that all students, parents, staff, and community members now use this platform to report safety concerns. In the case of an emergency, call 911. Please be aware that when a Safe2Help report is made which references suicide, self-harm or school safety building staff and/or local authorities will be contacted.

Safety 220

During an emergency situation at one of our schools, it is important for our community to work together. Barrington 220 has developed this tip sheet for parents/guardians, which shares specific actions parents/guardians should take in the event of an emergency.
