PHMS Families,

After receiving feedback from teachers, staff, parents, and students, I would like to share updates to our ICU program. Each group of students is unique, and we continually adjust our systems to better support learning. We believe these changes will improve clarity and student success.

Effective this semester:

1. Only missing assignments will be placed on the ICU list. Retakes and interventions will now be handled within individual classrooms. This change simplifies the process and allows completed work to be removed from the list more efficiently.

2. ICU missing assignments turned in by the test date will receive full credit. ICU missing work submitted by the end of the quarter will receive half credit. This is intended to encourage timely completion, strengthen learning before assessments, and reduce procrastination.

We remain committed to supporting every student at PHMS as they complete their assignments and prepare for future success. Thank you for you do, and please reach out with any questions.
