Volunteer at Livermore’s Community Service Day!
Community Service Day is an annual citywide event that brings Livermore residents together to volunteer on projects that make a difference throughout our community. This year, the City of Livermore, LARPD, and LVJUSD are partnering on several projects at local school campuses, and our school is on the list!
The day begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Robert Livermore Community Center with a free volunteer breakfast and event t-shirt pickup. Volunteers will then head to their project sites, with school projects taking place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
We’d love to have our students, families, and staff join us and help make a difference right here on our campus! Sign up to volunteer and select our school’s project, or learn more about Community Service Day.

We hope your summer break was filled with joy and relaxation. As we gear up for the new school year, we're excited and fully prepared to create the best picture day experience for you, your staff, and students.
Your Fall Picture Days:
Fall Picture Day: Tuesday, September 8, 2026
Fall Retake Day: Thursday, November 5, 2026
General Reminders and Information:
Share your Picture Day Reminder with families using the provided template and social media content.
Families can place online orders at mydorian.com beginning 3 weeks before Picture Day and continuing through 2 days after Picture Day.
Picture Day materials, including order envelopes and posters, will arrive approximately 3 weeks before Picture Day.
On Picture Day, please ensure all paper order forms are turned in to the photographer before they leave, as we cannot accept them afterward.
Digital files will be available in the school.mydorian.com portal approximately 14 days after Picture Day. Student picture orders will be delivered about 30 days after Picture Day.
Thank you for trusting Dorian Studio to capture your students' memories this year. I know the beginning of the school year brings a lot of moving pieces, and my goal is to make picture day one less thing for you to worry about.

The PTO Spotlight
Getting Involved/ Volunteer Opportunities
Parents put the “P” in PTO. Your Parent Teacher Organization here at MASA is committed to providing much needed support to the staff, student and entire school community through parent engagement, volunteerism and fostering communication and community. PTO successfully fundraised $75,000 last year which directly and positively impacted our school community, providing much needed classroom supplies, beautification projects, Field Trip Funds, extracurricular Family events as well as limited the impact felt to our campus during a very challenging financial year for our school district. We are already excited and planning the many events that PTO hosts for our families for this year! Be sure to follow us on social media for updates, and we warmly encourage you to stay (or become) involved with our events and PTO. Without amazing volunteers these events cannot happen. We have a wide variety of opportunities to get involved and help make an impact with our student experience at MASA including Hospitality, Communications, Fundraising or single event teams such as Spring Festival, Field Day and more. Roadrunner Run Sponsors Needed
The PTO needs help finding corporate sponsors for our 4th Annual Roadrunner Run Fundraiser, happening on Friday, October 16th, 2026. All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit our MASA teachers and students. This is how the PTO pays for teacher/classroom stipends, extracurricular activities, events for our school, and more!
We have partnered with the Community Health and Education Foundation (CHEF), and thanks to this partnership, every dollar donated through a sponsorship on our campaign page during the month of August will be matched by CHEF at 50%—boosting the sponsor’s impact even more!

A sponsorship flyer was sent home in your student’s backpacks. Please help us get the word out by sharing it with any businesses you know, use, or are your employer.
Our biggest event of the year… The Roadrunner Run
Please save the Date!!! We will NEED A LOT of volunteers for our upcoming Roadrunner Run on Friday October 16th. There will be a sign up genius link announced next week with the open time frames and the many volunteer slots that are needed. Come join in on the amazing fun and be a part of our annual Color Run event! Plus, all volunteers who sign up to help for the Rub Day event prior to September 16th will receive an event t-shirt and colored powder as a thank you for being a part of this truly special school-wide experience.
We will be announcing the student-lead portion of the fundraising campaign at our first School Community Assembly on September 2nd! Parents and caregivers are invited to join us out on the blacktop at 8:40am. Come learn all about the awesome prizes that students will have the opportunity of earning by collecting pledges, as well as the many school-wide fundraising milestone goals. There may even be a special guest at the Assembly which our students will enjoy.
Registration for our PledgeStar platform will be sent home with students next week. All students will need to have a parent or caretaker register them for this year’s event using the Pledge Star website, and students will earn an exclusive Vinyl Event sticker just for registering. Details with the instructions on how to register will go home next week.
Room Parent Program
Our Room Parent Program directly supports our Classrooms as our Parent Classroom Coordinators and also helps keep parents updated on PTO announcements/events. Do you love attending and planning classroom celebrations, or occasionally have time to give during the school day? Please see your Classroom Teacher to discuss becoming a Room Parent today. Your teacher will be taking sign up for this volunteer opportunity directly and volunteer clearance through the School District’s Raptor portal is required for all Room Parents.
