October 2026 Update #2
Message From the Principals
Hello MHE Families,
As the temperatures begin to drop and colder weather approaches, we want to ensure all of our Musketeers stay warm, safe, and comfortable throughout the winter months! If your family is in need of a winter coat for your child, please reach out to Ms. Hayes, our school counselor, or contact the front office. We are happy to help connect families with resources and support to ensure every student is prepared for the colder weather ahead. Please know that we are here for you and your family, and we are always happy to help in any way we can!
A heartfelt thank-you to Grace Communion Cincinnati West for their generous donation of winter coats and for helping us keep our Musketeers warm this winter. We are so grateful for your kindness and support of our school community! ❤️
Our October attendance incentive is the Candy Drop! 🍬 Mr. Whitaker and Mrs. Lowe will be taking to the roof to shower our winning classrooms with candy as a fun reward for their hard work and commitment to being at school. We are excited to celebrate our students and classrooms that are making attendance a priority!
As we continue working toward our schoolwide attendance goals, please remember our goal of missing no more than one day of school per month whenever possible. Every day in the classroom matters! Regular attendance helps students stay on track academically, build strong relationships with their classmates and teachers, and make the most of the learning opportunities each day brings. We understand that illnesses and unexpected circumstances happen, but we appreciate your continued partnership in helping your child attend school regularly and arrive on time.
As always, we encourage you to take a few moments to read through all of the information included below. If you have any questions, concerns, or need assistance with anything, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to help!
Have a great one!
Mrs. Lowe & Mr. Whitaker

Student Instructional Fees
Student instructional fees are due by the end of the school year. School fees will be loaded the week of October 5, 2026. If you think your family may qualify for a fee waiver, we encourage you to complete the Meal Benefits Application available in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Once logged in, go to “more”. If you have completed a Meal Benefits Application please do not pay any current fees (school year 2026-2027) until your application is processed and you are notified. This application must be completed each school year.
Please note that any fees not paid by June 30, 2027 will remain on your student’s account and cannot be waived at a later date.
We understand that paying the full amount may not be possible for everyone, partial payments are welcome until the amount is paid in full. Unpaid fees roll over to the next year and on into middle and high school.
All fees and fines must be paid through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal under fees. We NO LONGER ACCEPT CASH OR CHECKS.
Please contact the school if you have any questions.
Thank you!
Levy Education Series: What would be reduced if the levy fails?
Building Information
- Student arrival is daily between 8:30am and 8:50am. MHE staff supervision is not available before 8:30am. Students that arrive after 8:50am will be marked tardy.
- Y's Kids morning and after school care is available through Clippard YMCA (513-923-4466)
- Please refrain from dropping your student off in the main parking lot between 8:30am - 8:50am. This lot is for bus drop off only.
- If you plan on having your child eat school breakfast, please try to have them here closer to 8:30am. All students that arrive at school after 9am will be asked to get their breakfast from the cafeteria and report to their class to eat. TEACHING WILL BEGIN AT 9AM!
- Please refrain from picking your student up in the main office between 3:15-3:45. Parent pick up is at the back gate using your car tag. The front lot is for bus loading only.
- If you are in need of an updated car tag for the 26/27 school year, please see Mr. Smith in the main office. If you do not have a car tag, you must have a photo ID AND be listed in the student's file as authorized to pick up.
- Breakfast and Lunch are both FREE this year! If however, you would like to have your child(ren)’s school instructional fees waived, you must submit an Educational Benefits or Household Income survey to determine fee waiver eligibility. You may complete the survey through the Infinite Campus parent portal.
- Additional items can be purchased using funds that have been added to student accounts. (Snack/chip bags, ice cream, cookies, fruit-roll-ups, etc.) CASH IS NOT ACCEPTED IN THE CAFETERIA. Funds are ONLY to be used by the student whom the account belongs to. Students are not permitted to purchase items for classmates.
- Please do not send your child in the morning with coffee drinks or breakfast items from fast food locations (McDonalds, Starbucks, Dunkin, etc.). Students do need to finish these things before coming into school and should not be bringing them to class or the cafeteria.
- Please do not drop fast food off to students in the middle of the day. In the event of this, your child will be asked to eat in the office instead of with their class in the cafeteria.
